Welcome to the world of Byker
Our brief is simple, we want to promote good, unknown writers, entertain the reader and have a bit of a laugh. Our literary heroes are the likes of Irvine Welsh, Christopher Brookmyre, Kevin Sampson, Alan Sillitoe, Danny King, Max Kinnings and Charlie Williams. That list isn't exhaustive, in fact we could go on for days about the stuff we like, but it should give you an idea of what we want to showcase on the site, hopefully publish in the future and generally read every day.
At this present moment we're only accepting submissions for short British fiction but keep an eye on the site because we have plans to uncover and promote unsigned talent in the not too distant future.
